Report the little info gathered to the guard, who suggests a further talk with Jorleif, but also brings up the examination of the crime scene, i.e. A blood trail needs to be followed from the graveyard into the city.
So this quest was supposed to be fixed in the recent update, however i still cant start it, i have left windhelm and re-entered numerous times, is there anything im doing wrong?? - You can start this quest in Windhelm by visiting the graveyard on the left side of the town. It won’t show up right away though, but after you’ve visited Windhelm 2-3 times you can go to the graveyard and see a gathering of people (I left and waited for 24 hours, then went back until the gathering of people showed up in the graveyard).
- Blood on the Ice will now allow you to complete the quest after the Imperials have taken over Windhelm. The guard acting as a CSI will switch properly to an Imperial as needed. In 'Blood on the Ice' (MS11), the player's chest in Hjerim would not enable unless Wuunferth was arrested for the crime.
- QUEST: Blood on the Ice - follow up on clues from Hjerim. Talk with Viola Giordano about the killer's journal. To find Viola, go to the exterior west side of Candlehearth Hall and wait until sometime around 11am (if not, try 2pm-3pm). QUEST: Blood on the Ice - talk to Jorleif.
Do you have to leave/enter through front gate or will fast travelling to the city/palace be enough?
Do you have to enter over differant days, or can you just keep leaving/entering all in one night?
I'm guessing you have to enter the city at night after the 4 times for there to be a group of people at the graveyard, but do you have to wait for a little bit or do they spawn there (does it take time for the people to walk to the graveyard?)
Also, i keep getting dialogue from the people in windhelm that goes like 'first my wife now my daughters' and other dialogue that suggests the quest has started, but its not on my list at all.
