I'll be selling the FW-1082, but am looking for a replacement. The FW-1082 was a little overkill for me, I really only used it for mixing audio in the timeline in FCP. So any suggestions for a (simpler?) replacement with flying faders very welcome. Thanks in advance, Suzanna [www.suzero.com] I used a FW1082 back when FCP5 was first released and whilst I don't use one today it's always a real disappointment to see a manufacturer discontinue support of an otherwise great product. As a replacement control surface for fader control you could maybe check out some of these: Behringer BCF2000 : [www.behringer.com] Mackie MCU Pro : [www.mackie.com] Euphonix MX Mix or MC Control : [www.euphonix.com] Cheers Andy Thanks for your reply. I think the Behringer should suit my needs just fine. I have heard negative reports about the quality of their physical faders, though. Nevertheless, it's so affordable that it's not so bad to have to replace it after a few years :-) Suzanna Reviving this old thread with good news. The Tascam FW-1082 now works great on Snow Leopard running FCS3. Tascam released a new driver that did the trick! Argh! I already sold mine :-( I ordered the Behringer and sent it back within a day as it doesn't have touch-sensitive faders and you therefore cannot 'pick-up' a mix to correct mistakes. Terrible. I really miss my FW1082 and am very angry at Tascam for announcing that they were ceasing all support/development for the mixer (and at myself for selling so soon).
